Cookie Policy
Last updated 19 August 2026. This page explains the cookies and local storage WAFollow uses.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. We also use local storage for things like your theme choice and session token. Together we refer to these as "cookies".
Cookies we use
| Category | Examples | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
| Essential | Session and authentication cookies, CSRF protection, load balancing. | Required for sign-in and security. Cannot be switched off. | Session – 12 months |
| Preferences | Theme (light/dark), language, sidebar state, dismissed banners. | Remembers how you like the app to look. | Up to 12 months |
| Analytics | Aggregated page views, feature usage, and performance timings. | Helps us understand which pages and features are useful. | Up to 13 months |
| Marketing | Attribution for sign-ups from ads or referrals. | Only set if you consent. Never used to profile your customers. | Up to 6 months |
Third parties
Our payment provider may set cookies on checkout pages to prevent fraud. Our hosting and authentication provider sets essential session cookies. We do not sell data collected through cookies and we do not run third-party advertising trackers inside the WAFollow application.
Your choices
- Use the cookie banner to accept or reject non-essential cookies. You can change your mind at any time by clearing site data.
- All modern browsers let you block or delete cookies in their privacy settings. Blocking essential cookies will break sign-in.
- You can also enable "Do Not Track" — we treat it as a signal to disable analytics cookies.
